I finished reading ❶ once and only once before the exam. The book was quite thick, I managed reading it thoroughly, and taking notes at the same time. I made about 5 to 10 A4 loose leaf notes on each domain. I read the book on weekend mornings when I could concentrate. It took me quite a long time to finish studying the book.

After completing ❶, I studied ❸. This is the second time for me to study the contents. Unlike ❶, it summarizes the knowledge points in a way like answering questions. For example, in ❶, international standards are mentioned here and there in each related domain, for ❸, it summarized them together, e.g. ISO / IEC 27000, 27001, 27002… which makes it a very good material for memorization.

On weekdays, I memorized the notes on the commuter train to work and back home. At first, I carried my Kindle, however it was heavy for me to hold, also required both hands to hold, I stopped taking Kindle outside. I can also read e-books on my iPhone, but the letters are too small for me. I have to zoom in sometimes, it is just not convenient for me. At the end, I found paper was the best. I also printed out ❺, the Sunflower note on paper and memorized them on the train.

I watched quite a lot of Youtube videos on CISSP. Whenever I don't know something, I searched Youtube for it, amazingly, at Youtube you can find almost anything you want to learn more.
